Joseph Ungerer, SE, LEED AP

During his 30+ years at R+C, Joe has worked with all building types-from aquaria to university facilities. Most recently, he has served as principal structural engineer on many of the firm's laboratory projects. His current and recent projects—many designed in Revit—include the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory LCLS-II Cryogenic Building, the new Santa Clara Family Justice Center, the Stanford School of Medicine Lorry I. Lokey Stem Cell Research Building, and the Shriram Center for Bioengineering & Chemical Engineering for Stanford's School of Engineering. Joe received awards for the design of the J. David Gladstone Institutes laboratory at UC San Francisco's Mission Bay Campus and the seismic retrofit of the historic St. Dominic's Church in San Francisco.

Joe is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
