Ann is the principal structural engineer of the Seismic Upgrade and Renovation project at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland campus. Phase 1 of the 10-year master plan is currently in design and construction. Ann considers it a privilege to have worked with this client since 1998.
Ann has recently worked on K-12 schools in the Bay Area. She is principal structural engineer for the Marin Country Day School expansion, which includes performing arts and "maker" facilities for the private school students. She also worked on the Richmond High School campus where her goal was to support the architect and owner in realizing their vision for the campus.
Originally trained as an artist, Ann has always been interested in making things. Her interest in structural engineering began while watching high-rise construction and deconstruction during her lunch hour walks in downtown San Francisco.
