The new recreation and aquatic center will serve the growing needs of the San Jose State campus. The project will demolish the two existing residence halls and the existing aquatic center, upgrade existing utility lines, and build a new and larger integrated sports and fitness facility. The new facility will feature a 120,000 sf gymnasium, a 40,000 sf aquatics deck with 50-meter competition and recreation pools, a weight and fitness center, exercise rooms, a rock climbing wall, and areas for sports clubs. R+C is the structural engineer for the design-build team.
