Laurel Jiang, GE

Laurel has been with R+C since 2005 and has 24 years of geotechnical engineering experience. She was a key member of the team that recently provided geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and investigation management services for two of the largest hospital projects in California. The Lucile Packard Children's Hospital expanded the existing hospital to include 104 new patient beds and included a complex geotechnical investigation. The new 824,000 sf Stanford Hospital incorporated a base isolation system while addressing challenging soils conditions.

Laurel is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Within R+C, she participates in recruiting and training interns for our geotechnical department. She works closely with the head of the geotechnical department to provide strong communication with owners and design team members from the geotechnical investigation phase through the construction phase.
