Designed to serve 1,975 diners, Segundo Commons is a gathering place for students from two major residential districts. The building houses a cutting-edge food service facility with a cook/chill kitchen that serves many other dining facilities on the campus. Program elements include seating for 825, serving and finishing stations, a production kitchen, storage, a food management office, a loading area and a dock. Rutherford + Chekene was the structural engineer for the project.
