Felipe brings experience in structural analysis and design, seismic engineering, computational modeling, and construction administration. He first joined Rutherford + Chekene as a structural engineering intern, where his work included structural modeling, foundation design, response history analysis, and the development of tools to automate engineering calculations.

His background also includes research at UC Berkeley focused on structural dynamics, structural health monitoring, and high-performance concrete, as well as hands-on experience with steel fabrication through Berkeley’s Steel Bridge Competition Team.
