To provide a cohesive and contemporary research and teaching space for the Graduate School of Education, the university sought to renovate the historic 100,000 sf Beaux Arts-style Graduate School of Education (GSE) and Barnum Buildings and add 50,000 sf of new program space, creating 158,000 total square feet of program space.
