The renovation and expansion of the McHenry Library was part of an ongoing effort to accommodate significant enrollment growth at the Santa Cruz campus. The design retrofitted the existing 162,364 sf library and added 118,891 sf, transforming the building into a state-of-the-art research facility for the arts, humanities and social sciences programs.
