UCSF Pediatric Operatories

San Francisco, CA

The project consisted of the renovation of 8 pediatric patient rooms on the first floor of the Dental Clinics Building at UCSF's Parnassus campus. R+C's scope included structural design for interior partitions, casework, ceilings, and anchorage of dental chairs. Besides typical metal stud partitions, the project included partial-height privacy walls supporting colorful translucent 3form panels between patient rooms. R+C also provided structural analysis to evaluate if the existing structure was adequate to support loads imposed by the new equipment, new slab penetrations, and provided support to work around existing conditions.
